Lavender Field Preserve, donated by Moceri Companies to Orion Township, offers a natural pathway system through protected parklands

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Moceri Companies has preserved and donated 34 acres of natural land to Orion Township, creating Lavender Field Preserve. Located on the south side of Silverbell Road, east of Squirrel Road, the preserve offers a natural pathway system for walking, birdwatching, photography, and quiet exploration. The donation protects natural open space for public enjoyment.

The preserve’s natural lands feed the headwaters of Gallager Creek, which provides habitat for fingerling Brook Trout that migrate to Paint Creek. Its varied landscape supports deer, songbirds, Great Blue Herons, and Red-Tailed Hawks that forage across open areas and woodland edges. Milkweed and native vegetation provide food and habitat for monarch butterflies and other pollinators.

Adjacent to the preserve, more than 40,000 lavender plants are being planted throughout Lavender Ridge, including thousands along the bike path bordering Squirrel and Silverbell roads.

The Lavender Ridge Sales Gallery is now open on site, welcoming visitors to explore the community’s homes and amenities.
