J&K Home Furnishings Named 2026 Best of South Carolina Award Winner

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — J&K Home Furnishings, a South Carolina-based furniture and mattress retailer with seven showrooms serving the Grand Strand and Lowcountry, has been named a 2026 Best of South Carolina Award winner, recognizing the company’s commitment to custom furniture, American-made craftsmanship, professional interior design and personalized customer service.

At the heart of J&K Home Furnishings is a simple philosophy: customers shouldn’t have to settle for furniture designed for someone else’s home. Through an extensive custom furniture program, customers can personalize seating depth, cushion firmness, arm and leg styles, fabrics, performance materials, finishes and other details to create furniture that reflects their lifestyle and individual taste.

Approximately 80 percent of J&K’s furniture is American-made or custom-crafted by domestic manufacturers. J&K is also the exclusive retailer of Bassett Furniture in the Myrtle Beach and Charleston markets. Bassett’s custom programs provide extensive choices in upholstery, dining and bedroom furniture, with many custom orders completed in approximately 30 days.

J&K also provides complimentary assistance from in-store interior designers who help customers coordinate furniture, fabrics, colors, finishes, rugs, accessories and custom window treatments. In-home consultations are available for complete rooms and larger design projects.
Each showroom also includes Mattress ZZZs, a dedicated sleep department where specialists help customers select mattresses, adjustable bases and pillows suited to individual comfort and sleep preferences.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as a 2026 Best of South Carolina Award winner,” said Chuck Dawson, owner of J&K Home Furnishings. “Our goal has always been to give our customers something they can’t get from a national chain or a website, the ability to create furniture specifically for their home, supported by talented designers and a local team that genuinely cares about getting it right. We are especially proud that many of our custom orders can be completed in about 30 days. This award belongs to our entire J&K team.”

The company’s approach is summarized by its promise: “Custom Furniture Designed For You.”

As J&K continues serving coastal South Carolina, it remains focused on expanding its selection of custom and American-made furniture while investing in the personalized design experience that has become a hallmark of the company and the team behind it.
